my Story
I am so glad you’ve come to check out my website. My name is Nic Chavers and I am a worship leader, songwriter, and outreach director based in Columbus, GA. Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of seeing what the power of God can do in a person’s life. In 2014, God set my life on a new course. He took a broken and lost teenager and called him a son.
For the first time in my life, I realized what Jesus had done for me. On the cross he set me free from the power of sin and death. The great debt that I owed was cancelled on the day I received Jesus. Now I can proclaim that there is no longer any condemnation. For whom the son sets free is free indeed. Through the reading of the word and the power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus has continued to transform my life to the abundant life he promised.
Throughout the years, I’ve seen what a joy it is to serve in body of Christ and to live in the freedom that he paid for. In recent years, I’ve felt the call of God to reach the next generation through my worship. I’m humbled to have the opportunity to glorify him through my music. He has placed an anthem in my heart that beats for the lost to come to know him. I’ve got one goal when it comes to my music: that people might be encouraged and inspired through a life of worship to know God.
I have a vision.
Live
To LIVE out the mission of Jesus by leading people to a life of worship.
A life of worship is a sold-out life. It’s a life that has died to its old self and chooses each day to walk by the strength of the Spirit. Worship incorporates all aspects of life: family, career, friends, community. I desire to live a life that others can see and say “Wow, Jesus really is that good!” Because of Jesus, we have entered in to a resurrected and abundant life. A life where we may still walk through the fire, but behold, he is with us in the fire. I have chosen to live a life of worship because Jesus is worthy of my highest praise.
Build
To BUILD up the local and global church to make an impact.
As a worship leader, I want to see the body of Christ unified like never before, in my region, country, and around the world. I desire to use my music to strengthen and encourage the local and global church. I pray that my music will call people to not only be hearers of the word, but also doers. That people will be challenged to become disciples (followers) and apostles (sent-ones) of Jesus. My greatest hope is that people would be prompted by the Holy Spirit to go and make a difference in their community.
Release
To RELEASE a sound that will shift this generation.
I desire to release music that changes the atmosphere and shifts culture. We are living in a culture that desperately needs a touch from God. Through worship, we will take new ground for the kingdom. As the sound goes out, strongholds will break and people will find fresh freedom. In the presence of Jesus, the fullness of joy will be discovered. The sound that will be released, will be filled with the word of God and led by his Spirit. I encourage you to join me on this mission. Are you ready to release the sound? Click the link below.
I BELIEVE:
The Scriptures are inspired by God and declare His design & plan for mankind. The Bible is inerrant, infallible, and our authoritative guide to faith and conduct.
There is only ONE TRUE GOD, revealed in three persons: Father, Son, & Holy Spirit.
In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s son, Jesus was both human & divine. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died a substitutionary death for our sins on the Cross. He was also bodily raised to life on the third day.
The Fall of Man. Though originally good, man willingly fell into sin; ushering in evil & death, both physical & spiritual into the world.
Salvation. Every person can have restored fellowship with God through Salvation by trusting in Christ, through faith & repentance, to be our personal Savior. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works.
As the church we practice the following two ordinances: (1) Water baptism by immersion after repenting of one’s sins & receiving Christ’s gift of salvation; and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering & death for our salvation.
In the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as a special experience following salvation that empowers believers for witnessing & effective service, just as it did in New Testament times.
The initial physical evidence of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is speaking in tongues, as experienced on the Day of Pentecost & referenced throughout Acts & the Epistles.
Sanctification initially occurs at salvation & is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God & become more Christ-like.
The Church is the Body of Christ. Each believer, born of the Spirit of God, is part of the Church. The purpose of the Church is to evangelize the world, worship God, build up believers into the image of Christ, and demonstrate God’s love and compassion for the world.
Divine healing is an integral part of the Gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and is the privilege of all believers.
The Blessed Hope. The resurrection (rapture) of those who have died in Christ and their being raised together with those who are alive at the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the Church.
The Millennial Reign of Christ. The Second Coming of Christ follows the rapture of the Church. It will be the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on the earth for one thousand years.
The Final Judgment. There will be a time of final judgment in which the wicked dead will be judged according to their works. Whoever is not found in the Book of Life, along with the devil and his angels, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake of fire, which is the Second Death.
The New Heavens and New Earth. We look forward to, according to the promise of Scripture, a new heaven and new earth, where there will be no more sickness, death, or pain. Believers in Christ will enjoy His blessing there for eternity.
